What is needed to reserve our date?
If your wedding date is available, we'll set up a call to "meet" each other and discuss details for your Wedding Day. I am also up for meeting in person if you prefer - I want us to get to know each other to ensure we are a good fit and make sure all of your questions are answered! I care about my couples, and book a limited amount of weddings each season to ensure I have enough time to dedicate to their important day.
If all checks out and we want to move forward, I require a signed contract and a Reservation Deposit of half the package total to make it official. The remaining half is due one week before the wedding date.
Will you travel?
Yes! Travel up to 50 miles round-trip from my home in North Ridgeville, Ohio is included in package pricing. Anything over 50 miles, including total Wedding Day travel, will require an additional travel fee of $20 for every 10 miles over, per session. For Destination Weddings, airfare and hotel for myself and Assistant Photographer are at the couple’s expense.
What if we do not want an engagement session?
While I do not reduce the package prices if you do not prefer an Engagement Session, you do have the option to swap it out for a 1 Year Anniversary Session or Maternity Session of equal value if scheduled within one year of your wedding date. Shoots are non-transferrable. You also can substitute the Engagement Session for 1 additional hour of Wedding Day photography.
I do strongly encourage you to schedule an Engagement Session so we can have a “practice run” before your Wedding Day! E-Sessions help for the two of you to get comfortable together in front of the camera, for me to learn how you best pose before the big day, and for the three of us to really get to know each other. Engagement photos are also a great use for your Save The Date!
What is the "champagne toast mini session"?
More often than not, my couples don’t get a moment to themselves following their ceremony, which is understandable - everyone wants to congratulate them and celebrate!
The Champagne Toast is a mini session within your Wedding Day session where we steal you away from family and friends for a special moment - put the blame on us! I’ll provide champagne and flutes for you two to really take it all in and toast to your new marriage! You won’t totally be alone - myself and the Assistant Photographer (as well as the Videographer if you hire one) will be present to capture the bubbles and the smiles during your sweet moment together. Cheers!
What is the "digital slide show at the reception"?
Most of my couples are extremely excited to see the photos we take on their wedding day. Because of this, I offer the option to play a short slideshow at the reception near your guest book. It will start with some photos from your E-Session, and once ready will switch over to some highlights from your Wedding Day! If the timeline allows, I will spend about 25-30 minutes enhancing photos from earlier in the day to put on display for the remainder of my scheduled time at your reception.
How long does it take to get the final set of images?
It may take up to one month to receive the final set from your E-Session - this varies on seasonality and number of images. Wedding Sets include many more photos so turnaround time is anywhere up to four months to receive the final set. I select the images for enhancement based on my style and expertise. I understand how excited you are to see your photos, but we take a ton of photos on the Wedding Day and it is my mission to ensure the very best are selected and provided!
How many images will we receive?
Every wedding is different, even if the same package is booked. Timelines very, traffic and weather are out of our control, and some couples schedule more time for photography than others. Because of this, I don’t guarantee an exact number of images that will be provided, however, I provide all images that turn out both esthetically and technically correct. I’ll remove the blinks, the blur, and the badly lit, and will provide you with a set that makes it hard to choose which to print! If you are interested in seeing a full set or two for an example, just ask!
What are "full printing rights"?
Simply put, this means I will not charge an additional fee for you to be able to print your photos. Many photographers charge extra (sometimes up to $1,000!) for printing rights. With full printing rights, the photos in the final set are yours to print, share, and distribute however and wherever you see personally fit! The Copyright of all images does remain with me.
Currently I do not offer printing - all enhanced Engagement Session and Wedding Day photos are provided as high res digital images (JPG) to my couples on a password protected site. They may share this site with family and friends, download, and/or print directly from it. The site will expire after 10 years so the couple also receives a USB drive with all enhanced Engagement Session and Wedding Day photos.
